It's not only Tesla, but any car with an autopilot on highway at cruising speed will make it safer. The difficult and troublesome part is, how safer it is in congested cities and around humans, which Tesla claims.

Its difficult to comprehend how Tesla becomes more safer when driver's supervision/intervention is required at all times. And very conviniently they market full self drive as FSD, however, if you read the nitty gritty on their website in details, it's no where near even level 3 and is clearly mentioned as FSD (Supervised). Now when something needs constant supervision, how it can be marketed as full self drive, isn't that oxymoronic.

I would rather trust the NHTSA data which speaks something totally different, where Tesla must meet a deadline of July 1 to provide information to the regulator or face fines up to $135.8 million - NHTSA, probably this is the reason they are coming out with some fabricated data.

And this takes the cake; what if the driver is killed in the first instance
