Yamaha unveils AMT tech for motorcycles; Debut connected all-new upcoming bike
Yamaha has unveiled its caller Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) tech for its motorcycles.
The caller tech, named Y-AMT, comes with 2 physics actuators, 1 for the clutch and the different for changing gears. The tech volition diagnostic 2 modes: automatic and manual. The second volition let riders to alteration gears via buttons connected the bike's handlebars. When riding successful automatic, the Y-AMT tech further offers 2 modes: D+ (equivalent to athletics mode) and D (for long-distance cruising).
Yamaha has hinted that the tech could beryllium offered connected its thoroughfare bare and sport-tourer models, though the marque has yet to corroborate the same.
