Luggage bearer for SUV with panoramic sunroof (Safari)?

Had a query regarding installation of a luggage bearer connected a safari with panoramic Sunroof. While the showroom advised against it, was wondering if anyone has gone up and enactment 1 and which benignant if done so... And has it been alright nether usage oregon immoderate damages to the panoramic Sunroof glass?
